Music For The Living Impaired

Sometimes I like to design CD covers... this is one of those times. It's just a shame I don't have the musical talent to actually make songs to go with 'em.

Two Years, Eight Months, Twelve Days

... it's been awhile since I posted a completed, actual Commander X strip. I promise the next one won't take as long.

Sometimes I work hard to challenge myself when I draw. I select a subject that I know will test my abilities and force me to change and grow as an artist.

This was not one of those times. Enjoy.

Disco Fish is BOSS

... another example of the things I do at work when I SHOULD be working. This one's based on a comment one of the students made (I'm not ever sure where it came from). Click on the thumbnail for a larger view.

A New Comic Series...?

I'm test-driving this to see how it works, but so far it's a blast to make and it's not as intimidating as the comics I've made in the past. I still think it's funny, and the friends I've shown it to seem to have enjoyed it, so HERE IT IS A COMIC

WARNING: Evil Picard is EVIL.

Ridin' down the highway,
Goin' to a show...
Stop in all the by-ways,
Playin' rock 'n' roll.
Gettin' robbed.
Gettin' stoned.
Gettin' beat up...
Broken boned.
Gettin' had,
Gettin' took.
I tell you folks,
It's harder than it looks...

It's a long way to the top
If you wanna rock 'n' roll...

(Tickets still available from the plush Baloo on the bookshelf...)

In Memory of Ricardo Montalbán

... who passed away today. I heard it on the radio, and I'm going to be sure to watch some Fantasy Island or maybe some classic Star Trek ("Space Seed").

In the meantime, here's something quick to enjoy and remember.

"Pup Patrol" commercial, circa '76

In keeping with the "buddy-cop" phenomena of the 1970's, "Pup Patrol" was a hard-hitting action/comedy series about two canine cops: Chuck the Poodle and his Yorkie partner, Johnny Cash. Together they protected the mean streets of Lupus City.

(Alright, not TECHNICALLY a sketch...)
